ABOUT
MCKENZIE

I’m McKenzie Bergenback — a designer, artist, medical illustrator, and creative strategist working at the intersection of art, science, and human connection.
I’ve always been an artist at heart. As a child, I saw the world in colors, textures, and shapes that others often missed. That instinct eventually became both my practice and profession. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Drawing and Painting and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Visualization, and my work today moves fluidly between healthcare, branding, fine art, and storytelling.
My background spans healthcare branding, medical illustration, digital design, painting, sculpture, jewelry design, and clinical patient care. I’ve developed campaigns and visual systems for hospital networks, healthcare technology companies, wellness brands, and community-centered organizations, while also creating personal work rooted in anatomy, identity, nature, and the relationship between art and science.
As part of my journey, I’ve also worked clinically as an anaplastologist, creating facial prosthetics for patients navigating trauma, cancer, and congenital differences. That work profoundly shaped the way I approach creativity: with empathy, precision, and the belief that design can restore dignity, trust, and connection.
Whether I’m sculpting, painting, designing jewelry, building a brand, or creating a digital experience, I see creativity as an extension of something larger than myself — a way of translating beauty, connection, and meaning into tangible form.
